Hey,
this isn't a real blog entry, it's more of an experiment. I've been advised that 'videoblogging' is the hot new thing, and this weekend I am going to take my little camera with me to a gig and record what I see. This is just an experiment to see if the whole MOV thing is gonna work, even. I have no idea what my bandwidth restrictions are, presumably only broadband users will be able to play the vid, if at all.
Click to see the video. (40s, 600kb)

Hmm- uploading time seems ridiculous, and my work connection is pretty good. I'm investigating other options.
I probably recorded it at too high quality, as well- next one will probably be at half the res.
All the other videoblogs I've seen start playing as soon as they start uploading, and sort of 'stream' to the player. Anyone know how that's achieved?
downloaded in about a minute to my work computer, also broadband, download speed about 250 kb/s or so, on a good day. As for streaming, I haven't a clue, but it seems to work pretty ok already, and if it ain't broke...you know...?
Oh, cool. Well, I'll look into the streaming thing, it's a lot neater. Look forward to footage!
the movie link seems to have disappeared now, saying "page not found"
ps. it SO is the next cool thing!!
Hehehe, that was awesome. I clicked on it then went browsing round some other sites, completely forgot about it ... Then about 5 minutes later this dude starts talking to me out of my computer. Yay!
All fixed.
Right, well I got some cool footage to upload this weekend, which I will do, right after work.
